Howard M. Getson, 33, is the principal founder of the IntellAgent Control Corporation of Dallas. President and CEO since the firm's inception, Mr. Getson sets strategic direction and corporate vision, as well as managing industry relationships. He is a popular and frequent speaker to executive audiences on the use of groupware and Internet technologies. He also serves as advisor for a select number of other technology companies.

Mr. Getson's vision of a flexible, cost-effective solution for group relationship management has driven the IntellAgent Control System to a unique market position. Unlike other relationship-management solutions for groupware, Internet and corporate intranet, IntellAgent Control offers the important features and customizability common to high-end, client/server groupware solutions, while costing only marginally more than non-groupware PC-based contact managers. In addition, IntellAgent Control works out of the box, minimizing both customization and training issues.

Mr. Getson's guiding philosophy has been to assist organizations and individuals in finding greater success in what they do best. This approach sharply contrasts other sales force automation solutions that require users to adopt methodologies and engage in costly, time-consuming consulting. Rather, the consulting engagements by Mr. Getson and other staff consultants are geared to identifying clients' own key processes and success factors, and then making maximal use of the IntellAgent Control System to manage those factors. This approach has been enthusiastically received by executives of Fortune 1000 corporations. Firms in this sector comprise the bulk of IntellAgent Control's customer base.

Prior to forming IntellAgent Control, Mr. Getson had an active corporate legal practice, as well as several successful entrepreneurial ventures. Mr. Getson has represented individuals and companies in corporate and securities matters, with an emphasis on new and emerging businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property contractual issues.

IntellAgent Control Corporation was founded to provide organizations with consulting and systems design in the field of groupware solutions. The IntellAgent Control software was originally a custom solution for clients' needs for sales force automation. As demand for the product increased, the firm began marketing it commercially in 1993. Since then sales have grown geometrically, and IntellAgent Control has active marketing alliances with Lotus, Oracle, and various software and hardware firms that serve the same market. The software is used today by over 200 corporations, largely in the Fortune 1000 sector.

Mr. Getson holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and philosophy from Duke University, and both an MBA and JD from Northwestern University. He resides with his wife and two sons in a suburb of Dallas.
